New Items Unlocked or old items replayed is a series of compositions by David Engelbrecht. The project stems from a nostalgic and artistic interest in video game soundtracks. From the technological limitations in the use of soundfonts in the Nintendo 64 era to the magical landscapes and journeys of Zelda, Undertale and Final Fantasy.

The project is based on a large collection of materials, methods, lines of thought and music theory, and the concert will be assisted by a visual narrative, told through characters and dialogues on a screen.

New Items Unlocked wishes to tell a story and create a small space for the audience to unlock new emotions and memories within themselves and reach for future levels.
