Afgang 2026: Magnus Kudsk Rasmussen

I arrived at a former theatre with painted walls and a wooden window frame left on the wall
without any glass in it.

Sepia videos of arduous industrial workers from mid 20th century U.S. were projected onto the
back curtain until a band came on.

The band was fine – had been hoping for more.

What made an impact was the introduction scenery.

Made me think of how obsessed Americans are with having a past.

They relentlessly mythologize their brief history to compensate.

The videos gave an aura of something in between reality and dream.

Uniting my electronic expression with a string trio in this project has had the same kind of aura
for me.

A flickering object saturated with nostalgy from which I can dream and reach new ideas.

Playing with me will be Liam Amner (SE) on drums and SPDSX, Anders Juel Bomholt (DK) on
bass guitar, Thorbjørn Kaas (DK) on cello, Þórhildur Magnúsdó)r (IS) on Viola, Iðunn
Einarsdottír (IS) on violin and Leonor Arnaut (PT) on vocals.
