Exchange Students

RMC student exchanges are organised within the framework of the Erasmus+ or Nordplus programmes.
Applicants for exchange at RMC must apply through the RMC online application form.

Conditions

• Students applying for an exchange period at RMC must have completed at least one year of bachelor studies in their home institution before the exchange.
• Study period: RMC accepts exchange applications for the fall semester or the full academic year. It is not possible to apply for exchange in the spring semester alone.
• Normally exchange students will follow the same subjects as ordinary RMC students from the same study programme. Therefore, you can only select a study programme in the application and not specific subjects.
  The study programme you select must be the same as or equivalent to your study programme at your home institution. You cannot exchange to a different study programme than the one you were admitted to at your home institution. • Exchange students at RMC must have subjects corresponding to full merit (30 ECTS per semester)

• Bachelor 2nd year:

• Master 1st year:

Please note: On Bachelor 3rd year and Master 2nd year all internal RMC students have an external fall semester outside the RMC campus. Therefore, it is not possible to apply for exchange on these study years. However, if it can be approved by your home institution, it is possible to apply for exchange at BA2 even though you will be a BA3 student at home - and possible to apply for exchange at MA1 even though you will be an MA2 student at home.

Deadline

• Application deadline is 1 March
• After submission of your application an email will be sent to the international coordinator at your home institution, who must nominate/approve your application. The nomination must done by 10 March, so be sure to be in contact with your home coordinator about this. If your application is not nominated by 10 March, unfortunately we cannot take it into consideration.
• We normally open up for applications 15 January.
• Admissions decisions will be communicated via email to the applicant and home coordinator, expected in April/May.

BACHELOR PROGRAMMES

Music Performance
Please insert links to 2 pieces of music performed by yourself (total duration 5-6 minutes).​

Composition
Please insert links to 2 pieces of music (total duration 5-6 minutes).​ All compositions and any lyrics must be composed and written by you.​ It is not required that the music is performed by you.​

Music Production
Please insert links to 2 examples of your own music production – music that you have produced/recorded/mixed (total duration 5-6 minutes).​ Minimum one of the tracks must have been produced for others – where you are not the composer or performer.​ Please write in the comment field which track you have produced for others.​

Music Management
Please upload a PDF where you discuss a relevant and defined challenge within the music business.​ Your discussion must reflect your knowledge about the music business and demonstrate your ability to reflect and express yourself in writing.​ You must put your angle on the chosen subject and support your arguments.​ List of sources is well-regarded.​ Max 2400 keystrokes/1 page.

Please note: In Music Management (BA) the tuition is in Danish and good Danish skills are required. Accordingly this assignment must be written in Danish/Scandinavian.

MASTER PROGRAMMES

Music Performance
Please insert links to 2 pieces of music performed by yourself (total duration 5-6 minutes).​ The repertoire must include material composed and/or arranged by you.​

Music Creation
Please insert links to 2 pieces of music (total duration 5-6 minutes).​ All compositions and any lyrics must be composed and written by you.​ It is not required that the music is performed by you.​

Music Education
Please insert links to 1 piece of music (max. 5 minutes) and 1 video of yourself in a teaching role (5 minutes)

Exchange applications must be submitted though RMC's online application form.

Important: You cannot leave the application process and continue later, so please have the requested material mentioned above ready before you enter the application form.

When one of your students submit an application, an email will be sent to you including a link to nominate/reject the application. Your nomination must be completed by 10 March. If the application has not been nominated by 10 March, unfortunately we cannot take it into consideration.
