Speaking from the heart, or from disaster is a performance that merges music, video, poetry, and drama. The work navigates the emotional tension between global crises and the numbing stream of information in everyday life.

The performance explores how, within this tension, senses blur — confusing the sources of ill-fated imageries. Confusing instagram-feeds with dream with reality, hurt with longing, the intimate with the political, a love letter with a raging manifest.

The performance becomes a collage of emotion, a gesture that moves through weltschmerz, compassion fatigue and, in the face of alienation and resignation, it moves toward a collective intimacy.

The live show is accompanied by a narrative video essay composed of phone footage, internet samples, scripted scenes, and fragments of text.
