As a body of work or the works of bodies, INDEX OF HATE (M. Morville & M. Pilgaard Grishauge) posits the possibility of a practice of methodological aversion-centrism through INDEXATION-AS-RESEARCH.
In confrontation and engagement with OBJECTS OF HATE (OOH), a transformational process of erosion of the self’s personhood into the material is initiated, and tacitly shepherded onto a globality of the always-already new.
Embedded in their work is a critique of the idealization of positivity-based reflexivity, holding space for that which resides beyond juxtapositions of value-dialectical classification. Thus, the OH is woven from external totality into internal reality. Processually, this EMBEDS THE sedimented HATEFUL INTO an intrapersonal proto-RELEVANCE and carrier bag-assimilates the act of welcoming.
Existing in a post-affective body of reality and its subversive art-centrism, Index of Hate invites a consideration of the possible emergence of AN INDEX OF SELF-HATE and the resulting softness beyond the idiosyncrasies of the dialectic.
