Ignacio Córdoba er en lille person fra en lille landsby i bjergene omkring Madrid (Spanien), der har base i Københavns eksperimental- og impro-scene. Hans musikalske rejse har gjort ham til en shaman, der forveksles med en videnskabsmand, en ingeniør af sin egen forvirring og en lærling, der er dedikeret til håndværket i at være fuldkommen fortabt. Han laver magi med elektricitet. Laver elektronisk musik, der blander lydkunst, drone og eksperimenter med instrumenter, som han selv opfinder og bygger.

Quadrodphonen er et helt nyt instrument, der er opfundet og bygget i samarbejde med den hollandske instrumentopfinder Yuri Landman, den skøre kunstner, der er ansvarlig for at have bygget de skøreste instrumenter til bl.a. Sonic Youth, Liars, Half Japanese og mange flere. Yuri bragte Ignacios drøm til live om det kvadrofoniske, elektriske perkussive instrument.

Ignacio Córdoba is a small person from a small village in the mountains of Madrid (Spain), based in Copenhagen experimental and impro scene. His musical journey has turned him into a shaman mistaken for a scientist, an engineer of his own confusion and an apprentice devoted to the craft of being lost. He makes Magic with Electricity. Makes electronic music that blends sound-art, drone and experimentation with instruments that he invents and builds himself, like The Quadrodphone, which he will be presenting internationally for the first time in this tour.

The Quadrodphone is a brand new instrument invented and built in collaboration with dutch instrument inventor Yuri Landman, the crazy artist responsible for the craziest instruments of Sonic Youth, Liars, Half Japanese and many more. Yuri brought Ignacio’s dream to the life of the quadraphonic electric percussive sound of four sliding metal rods that defy the physics of any bell, bow or heart-beat. Its command rooms to bend and breathe and blow with droning resonance.
