RMC Jazz Festival (Dag 2)
Akvariet, RMC
Eik Skaløes Plads
KBH K 1437
Denmark
Der vil blive serveret kolde øl af bryggeriet People Like US fra baren i Akvariet. Rammerne er givne, men uforudsigeligheden råder disse to dage i improvisationens tegn.
Entré er gratis. Dørene åbner en halv time før første koncert starter.

26/6 14:00 Ignacio Cordoba
A small person from a small village in the mountains of Madrid (Spain) who lost touch with reality by touring the world with The Box and The Quadriga, two electronic self-made gods that render him electionless to the omnipotence of their oscillations. They turned him into a shaman mistaken for a scientist, an engineer of his own confusion, an apprentice devoted to the craft of being lost.
The Quadriga is a body Mask. It was born by joining powers with Yuri Landman, the dutch instrument builder and inventor responsible for the craziest instruments of Sonic Youth, Liars, Half Japanese and many other artists. Yuri brought Ignacio’s dream to the life of a quadraphonic electric sound of four sliding metal rods that defy the physics of any bell, bow or heart-beat.
In 2016 he founded MAGIA and has released music through it as well as through Repetidor (SP), Dokuro (IT) and Punctum (CZ). He has since played more than 200 shows over 6 European Tours through 17 countries and a Japanese Tour.
He has found himself making fanzines, exhibitions, videos, games, rituals, records and concerts with artists like Michael Pisaro, Pamelia Kurstin (Stickney), G.W. Sok (The ex), John Russell, Maggie Nicols, Søren Kjaergaard, Maria Laurette Friis, Kazehito Seki, Johanna Borchert, Fernando Junquera (Negro), Isasa, Ainara LeGardon and so many more.

26/6 15:00 Marijke Florien
Marijke is a Belgian singer & producer who has taken root in Copenhagen. Her music is an equilibrist mixture of experimental pop and electronica. Her debut album `Anætomy´ will be out through No Technique this spring.
Anætomy is a personal and abstract journey through the human body. Each song represents a particular idea; a feeling or philosophy, associated with a body part. With this album, Marijke invites the listener to reconnect with their own body and mind.”

Båd is dreamjazz from Copenhagen by composer Jeppe Dengsø. 2021 saw the release of his debutalbum 'Oktober Vipper Bladene Af Træerne', whose blue, woodwindy and hazy textures are reshaped in this solo-format as intimate arrangements for Spanish guitar and kazoo.
Line up: Jeppe Dengsø - vocal & guitar
26/6 18:00 Sanyu Namun
The Copenhagen based trio Sanyu Namun creates raw and minimalistic music and does not fail to capture the listener through an evident stage presence. Consisting of vocals, double-bass and drums, the band gets to the core of each song immediately. Still, this simple, yet classical constellation gives space to explore the music’s flexibility and possibilities, something they continuously play around with.
The trio are inspired by a wide range of musical fields, from Moore Mother´s spoken word aesthetics, a fragility and rawness as the likes of Brittany Howard, as well as SPEAK LOW´s intimate approach to musical interplay. Together they have played music since the fall of 2021 when they met at the Rhythmical Music Conservatory of Copenhagen. Now they look forward to sharing this with a live audience for the first time throughout the coming summer.
