RMC inviterer til et brag af en to-dages-festival med nogle af morgendagens funklende jazz-stjerner i de mest fantastiske omgivelser ved vandet under træerne med udsigt til Christiania.
Under Copenhagen Jazz Festival åbnes dørene til de eksperimenter, som foregår under overfladen på konservatoriet, og som i år bobler og syder mere end nogensinde, da alle musikerne længes ubeskriveligt efter at komme på scenen foran et publikum igen.
RMC's studerende udfolder sig i alt fra solo til ensemblestørrelse. De gratis koncerter starter kl. 14:00 og foregår indendørs på scenen i salen Akvariet og på en til lejligheden opbygget udendørsscene nede ved vandet.
Der vil blive serveret kolde øl af bryggeriet People Like US fra baren i Akvariet. Rammerne er givne, men uforudsigeligheden råder disse to dage i improvisationens tegn.
Entré er gratis. Dørene åbner en halv time før første koncert starter.

Matthías and Rafał spent extended amounts of time immersing themselves in the rich soundworld of strings, wood and wind, outdoors, indoors, at sea, in the city, in the forest, merging the inner space with the outer space.
They wish to share the joy in their search for a hypnotic flow, in a complex expression through the smallest of nuances where the combined sounds of their instruments and environment form the most elaborate, spontaneous symphonies.

The PJ Fossum trio is a recently formed group led by pianist and composer Paul Jacob Michel Fossum. Along with bassist Rafał Rózalski (Poland) and drummer Ivar Myrset Asheim (Norway), this project delves into modern piano trio sounds pull strongly from the roots and the branches of jazz and the Black American Music tradition. Each of their musical voice brings a unique perspective this group creating an interactive and vibrant group-sound.
Born and raised in Canada, and having cut his teeth in New York, PJ has been moulded into a multidimensional artist. From ambient to avant-garde, bebop to baroque, indie-rock to impressionist he merges these influences in an inventive and expressive manner.
He has shared the stage with the likes of Tyshawn Sorrey, Ingrid Jensen, William Bell, Nir Felder, Val Jeanty, among others and has studied with Reggie Workman, Kirk Nurock, Jane Ira Bloom, and Sam Yahel.

Sisa Feher - Arcus
Arcus is a search for the sound of a contrast of dystopic expectations viewed by a sentimental devoted individual and finding a grain of optimism in an overall tragic situation without overlooking the consequences.
Unusual songs addressed to you as well as to the unborn generation are poiting out the horrible and beautiful and calmly invites you to give up on avoidance of unpleasant. The urging vocal delivery of those thoughts will be ravishingly backed by brass section and synth-drumming duo.

Three musicians share a passion and love for sound and multidirectional playing. This trio's sound is a blend of lyricism, harmony, abstract sounds, microtonality, and rhythms that range from folk music to contemporary electronic music from today.

The Alex Ventling Trio is a musical journey through the majestic landscapes of New Zealand and flowing waters of Denmark. Musicians from their different cultures collaborating to share energy, playfulness and experiences. Continuous shaping of the moment, playful risk-taking, amongst beautiful melodies and danceable rhythms, fill up their improvisations.
Expect piano-trio jazz with a young twist.
