Afgang 2026: Asger Nissen

For his master recital Asger Nissen – Danish saxophonist, improviser & composer – has gathered a group of seven special voices of the Copenhagen jazz and improv circles. Together they will perform a set of freshly written music by Asger Nissen, stylistically spanning from 2026 modern jazz to 20th century post tonal music, be- & postbop as well as freejazz.

The music will be partially improvised and real-time shaped by the musicians. Occasional occurring ambiguities, rawness, searchings & findings in the music shall remind us of currently worldwide challenged natures of empathy, coexistence, listening, patience & love.
