Textures Give Me Feelings.

This concert is a journey through time, texture, and the depth of the string quartet. I present a piece that reflects my personal exploration of musical texture, minimalism, and romantic expression.

The project began with my deep love for the church organ and cassette tape recorder. I started by investigating the sounds and timbre of the organ. This process gradually led me to compose, improvise, and invite a string quartet to join my exploration.

The music moves between improvisation and composition. Through live tape manipulation, the sound is stretched, folded, and made more romantic - becoming fragile, expressive, and intimate. The piece is about deep listening, finding harmony in contrast, and embracing difference - both within yourself and in the world around you.
