chapter 3 — finding navi

In this project, Laurits Bigum Steinberg explores how collaboration shapes and enriches an internal creative vision. Drawing inspiration from woodwinds, organic field recordings, cheap scrappy keyboards and the lo-fi charm of early video game soundtracks, he has crafted a collection of alt-pop songs born from or influenced by shared moments, improvisation, and sonic exchange. 

The work is called 'Navi', referencing a character from an old video game — a small, fictional fairy who offers support and guidance along the way. In this project, Navi represents all the collaborators Laurits has crossed paths with — a collective guide shaped by shared moments and creative exchange.

This presentation will be a concert featuring music from the project, performed by:
