Afgang 2025: Jēkabs Rēders

Welcome!

Project 'Welcome' is a continuation of Jēkabs’s solo project, where he explores his musical individuality by embracing the nature of creativity and expression through different instruments and musical mediums.

Having spent many years on focusing on the meditative and spiritual connection of the human touch and acoustic improvisation, Jēkabs has now taken inspiration from "playful electronica" in order to open up his musical pallette to a whole new world of dynamics, contrasts and textural possibilities.

With the use of everyday objects found in his room, "street drones" and quirky digital synthesizers, Jēkabs has made his sound “electric” and welcomed a couple of friends to join for the fun.
