Francesca Burattelli's fragmented electronic scenarios explore the emotional and political nature of the
singing voice. Burattelli's unique vocals are the mainstay of her practice, which ranges from conventional
concert formats to performance art, conceptual music collages and sound installations.
In her latest work, she interprets the Southern Italian sound and singing tradition and the idea of popular
appeal in modern society. Here, Neapolitan guitar playing meets deconstructed AI voices, elements of
orchestral music and field recordings, creating a surreal, nostalgic and uncanny universe. With parallels to
folklore and the mythical, she sees how the emotional and romantic meet in a sociopolitical discourse.
On june 24th she will perform with Eros Pollaro, Xenia Xamanek, Villads Klint, Albert Hertz, Carl- Noë
Struck, Amanda Appel and Orson Fridan Pedersen.
