HOW TO DECENTRALIZE YOUR BRAIN IN 527 SIMPLE STEPS
I have dedicated my last two years to artistic research with the aim of combining my interests in experimental music, the Feldenkrais method, interactive multimedia technologies and facilitating genuine human encounters.
I have opened many doors and curiously stepped into more than one new territory at a time. Being on stage as a mover/dancer/performer, interacting with site-specific space and audience, moving away from and reconnecting with the guitar, programming for motion sensors, lights, projections. Zooming into my own curiosity about what it means to be human. Somewhere in the gaps between intellect, body, emotions and soul.
Dis~locate, questioning the functional.
De~centralise. Dis~tribute the brain.
Dis~connect in order to re~connect.
The programme «How to decentralize your brain in 527 simple steps» features five chapters of «somatic transdisciplinary solo performance» – including music, projections, fog, an Xbox controller, shadows, movement sensors, electric guitar, pedals, scent diffusors and some surprises:
1.WHO.IS.IN.CHARGE.HERE
2.THE.LESS.YOU.GRAB.THE.MORE.YOU.FEEL
3.THE.LIGHT.YOU.SEE.ME.IN
4.ME.NOT.ME
5.IN.SIDE.OUT.SIDE.IN
The less you grab, the more you feel
The more you grab, the less you feel
The less you grab, the more you feel
. Holding Space,
. Sensing Mebranes,
. Where I end and you begin.
Exploring and shining a light on membranes, borders, their permeability and ambiguity.
. The me, the other, the shared space.
. The where I end and you begin.
. The where all ends and all begins.
