Axel Filip

The group will perform original compositions inspired in landscapes from the composer’s childhood in the woods, walking through trails to find rivers, waterfalls and being in communion with nature. The crossed influences between Argentinian folklore music, singer-songwriter and jazz-oriented improvisation result on a high energy outcome, without losing lyricism in the way. “Each piece flirts with catchy tunes, but always in service to a more complex, thrilling vision of what Argentinian jazz can be” Dave Summer (The Best Jazz on Bandcamp)

Alex Ventling: Piano

Thiago de Azevedo Duarte: Bass

Axel Filip: Drums and composition

Special guest Flavia Huarachi Jørgensen: Voice and flute.

Erratic

Erratic is a quintet led by drummer and composer Rasmus Elhøj. Even though the instrumentation might suggest an ordinary jazz quartet, this band is something different. Rasmus’s compositions are based on thoroughly designed rhythmical structures, flowing in irregular pace and deceiving the listeners’ ears and body. Out of these ever moving structures, emerge long stretched melodies and a colourful palette of textures.

Michaela Turcerová: Alto Saxophone

Ben Rodney: Trumpet

Alex Ventling: Piano

Martin Brunbjerg: Double bass

Rasmus Elhøj: Drums
