De danske kunstskoler er gået sammen om en ny fælles podcast

I podcasten Rørelser kommer du med indenfor på landets kunstuddannelser og møder de mennesker, der arbejder og studerer her. Hvad rører sig i deres kunstneriske praksisser, forskning og dagligdag, og hvilke rørelser foregår i en bredere forstand mellem uddannelserne og samfundet udenom?

De syv danske kunstskoler er gået sammen om den fælles podcast, der formidler den viden, som bliver produceret rundt omkring i institutionerne.

Første episode af Rørelser har fået titlen 'Digitale konsekvenser' og udkommer på samtlige podcastplatforme tirsdag den 20. oktober.

Det første afsnit handler om at arbejde digitalt med kunst. Har det digitale en materialitet? Og kan et digitalt interface videregive menneskelige følelser? På Kunstakademiets Billedkunstskoler i København arbejder Honey Beckerlee med skulpturer af elektronisk affald og materialer, der knytter sig til digitale teknologier. På DIEM i Aarhus skaber Mia Ghabarou elektronisk musik på computere, men leder efter muligheder for at få sin krop og følelser inkorporeret i musikken.

Rørelser udkommer fremover otte gange årligt med fire episoder i henholdsvis foråret og efteråret.

Rørelser bliver produceret af The Lake Radio for de syv kunstskoler: Den Danske Scenekunstskole, Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium, Det Jyske Konservatorium, Syddansk Musikkonservatorium, Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi, Filmskolen og Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium (RMC).

The information meeting about admittance to the Bachelor programmes at Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) will be held online on Zoom this year due to the situation with COVID-19.

Each program item during the info meeting Tuesday 10 November 17:00-19:20 is held as its own webinar on Zoom, where you will meet the Heads of Programmes and have an opportunity for Q&A with current students.

The online info meeting only concerns the Bachelor programmes. Applicants with questions regarding the APD programmes can contact Head of Programme Torben Snekkestad at tsn@rmc.dk.

The application for Bachelor programmes and advanced postgraduate diploma starting august 2021 will open 15 October 2020 with application deadline 1 December 2020 at 11:59.

The application for Master programmes starting august 2021 will open 4 January 2021 with application deadline 22 February 2021 at 11:59.

THE SCHOOL

RMC is a Danish institution for higher education in music. RMC was founded in 1986 as the first music academy in Europe to specialize in contemporary music in the field of rock, pop, urban, electronica, jazz and so forth. RMC is an educational institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture and works on a non-commercial basis.

Our alumni are widely acclaimed artists and business professionals in the music industry. With only 200 student places in total we admit only the very talented. Once accepted students will have full access to state-of-the-art facilities and a faculty of teachers who are all experienced and active professionals in their field.

CURRICULUM CONCEPTS
We aim to educate music professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the increasing demands of the contemporary music industry. Our curriculum provides the students with ample opportunity to hone their skills in composing, performing, producing and communicating music within their individual field of interest.

The school offers a modern take on education allowing you to shape your studies according to your wishes and incorporating studies at other educational institutions in Denmark or abroad, internships or the like. More than that, the school offers a lively study environment and state of the art study facilities.

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
RMC has a close-knit cooperation with national and international music industry partners, venues, festivals, music academies and art schools.

Due to the special corona situation it is not yet possible to keep RMC open without staff being present. From 1 October our security company will be supervising on evenings and weekends. So please note that the opening hours are strict and you are expected to have left the premises by closing time.

Monday to Friday: 8:15 am - 10:00 pm

Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
