MISSION AND VISION
RMC’s mission and vision is set out in a framework agreement entered into with the Danish Ministry of Culture for the period 2019-22. RMC’s mission, through education, artistic development, research and general cultural activities, is to contribute to a vibrant artistic and cultural life, and the development of society. RMC’s vision is to be a pioneer in the study, practice and development of contemporary music; that students and staff at RMC thrive in a creative atmosphere of inspiring exchange and inventive inquiry; that RMC educates future innovators in music who enrich artistic and cultural experience in the world; and that graduates fra RMC, informed by deep knowledge and upon a foundation of highly developed skills, install themselves in society and actualize potentials in a wide network of relations, both locally and globally.
RMC is part of the Ministry of Culture, which consists of a department and more than 30 agencies and cultural institutions. The mission of the Ministry of Culture is, through art and culture, to create access to cultural education and development for people and society. The Ministry of Culture's vision is to create culture that enriches and enthuses.

EXAMINATIONS AND GRADES
Examinations at RMC fall into two categories: concluding examinations and proficiency tests. In the assessment of certain examinations, appointed external examiners also participate. The assessment given is either a grade from the seven-point scale, the evaluation Pass/Fail, a written statement or a written evaluation. A “written evaluation” means a graded assessment of a previously defined range of skills. The four forms of assessment may be used in combination, e.g. a pass/fail evaluation accompanied by a written statement.
The information on RMC’s assessment methods available at this site relates to the Conservatory’s concluding examinations with external moderation, divided up by study programme, educational level and subject. The information is based on grades awarded according to the seven-point scale and on a Pass/Fail basis. Statements and written evaluations are not included in the information.
