Col.Mu.Ma., short for Collaborative Music Making, is a dynamic music workshop designed to cultivate creativity and inclusivity. Originating as a teaching project in October 2022 among first-year students of the Master of Music Education program at RMC, it has evolved into a special sixth edition, now open to the public and lasting 4 hours and 33 minutes.
This workshop explores innovative ways to engage individuals with diverse backgrounds in the creation of high-quality art and music. Developed as an open method, it invites everyone to participate in the creative process on their own terms, whether as spectators, active participants, or anything in between. There's no pressure; observation is perfectly acceptable.
The workshop delves into the realms of collective play and musical creation, fostering individual expression and accommodating varying levels of musical proficiency.
Col.Mu.Ma. extends its collaboration globally by utilizing the open-source platform radio APOREE to interact with diverse soundscapes from around the world. An audio recording will capture the entirety of the workshop, and these recordings will be made available for new musical creations.
On the same date, in the morning from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., there will be a Col.Mu.Ma. session dedicated to children and families. Find more information [here]
