Music Education

The Master´s in Music Education is an advanced-level educational programme for music educators who wish to develop and strengthen their pedagogical knowledge, skills and competences. The programme has an emphasis on practical-pedagogical work within the field of rhythmic contemporary music - locally as well af globally

The programme focuses on developing and strengthening your pedagogical knowledge and skills, your competences in music education project development and practical-pedagogical work.

The programme offers good opportunities for peer collaboration and co-creation and the form of the course alternates between regular classes, peer workshops and individual tuition and guidance. You will have the opportunity to shape the content of the programme to a great extent.

The programme has a strong focus on developing your entrepreneurial knowledge and skills and will also give you direct access to the Conservatory´s extensive national and international networks.

Who is RMC?

Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) is an educational institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture and works on a non-commercial basis. RMC was founded in 1986 as the first music academy in Europe to specialize in contemporary rhythmic music.

RMC offers the highest education in contemporary rhythmic music - a multifaceted concept that embraces widely diverse genres such as rock, pop, jazz, urban, metal and electronic music.

Contemporary rhythmic music is a creative and performative art form which in a continuous dialogue with the contemporary world is deeply rooted in academic, professional and cultural traditions.

At RMC contemporary rhythmic music means openness, curiosity, diversity and a critical position.
