Afgang 2021: Lucas Dann

Since my arrival in Copenhagen, I have immersed myself in the world of improvised music with a focus on solo piano free improvisation. My passion lies in music without any prior planning or prearrangement. I find music where the audience and the performer share the same journey through the music extremely exhilarating. Neither the audience, nor the performer know what will happen before it does. To culminate my transformative time spent at RMC, I will be performing 40 minutes of uninterrupted improvised music for solo piano.

Lucas Dann is a Canadian pianist born in Toronto in 1997.
