Support is only provided for equipment and software purchased and managed by RMC. If the problem is due to a private PC/phone, it’s the user's own responsibility to have it debugged and resolved.
In most cases, it’s RMC's IT supplier, Statens IT (SIT), who must be contacted regarding problem solving on equipment and systems that RMC manages.
The affected user must contact SIT directly. When making inquiries, permanent employees must provide their own B-number, while students and part-time teachers must provide the common B-number B141226. Other external users (course teachers, guests) cannot make inquiries to Statens IT, but shall instead contact the administration or the Lending department (Udlån) for help.
SIT can be contacted on 72 31 00 01

Wifi and internet at RMC
If you have received an rmc-email in a log-on letter, make sure that you have activated it. You do this by going to portal.office.com and logging in with the temporary password, creating a new password and adding a phone number (you will be asked this the first time you log in). Once you have done this, you can connect to a network.
For students, part-time teachers and Mac users: use the EDU-STUDENT network and log in with your rmc-email and password.
For guests: use the RMC GUEST network - you can get the code at the Technical Unit.
For permanent employees with SIA-PC: use the SIT-PROD network and log in with B-number and password
For permanent employees with their own devices (not Mac): use the SIT-BYOD network and log in with B-number and password.
You can NOT print and can only access your Office 365 account (mail, Office suite, etc.) from the browser if you are on the guest network, so make sure you use the right network if you are a student or employee! Guests can print from a USB stick at the printer in the foyer.
- Check that you are connected to EDU-STUDENT
- Remove EDU-STUDENT from the list of wifi connections like so
- Remove the RMC GUEST wifi from the list of wifi connections
- Connect to EDU-STUDENT again and log in with your rmc-email and password when asked
If this does not help you can try resetting your NVRAM/PRAM, Step 7.
Check that you can send emails from the webmail (portal.office.com). If so, check if you are on the EDU-STUDENT wifi. If you are on the right wifi, the error is probably due to the setup of your Mac/mail program. RMC does not provide support for private devices.
Restart your computer.
- Remove the network from the list of wifi connections like so on Iphone and like so on Android.
- Connect to the network again and log in with your rmc-email/B-number and password when asked.
- Wait 2 minutes
- Check that wifi is enabled
- Check that Airplane mode is disabled
- Restart PC
- If that doesn't help, call SIT
Students, teachers and Mac users can print while connected to EDU-STUDENT from printer RMC-LMV-ELEV-MF-010 in the foyer outside the lounge (IP 10.95.195.249).
The printer can be found by searching for "printer" in your PC's search field, clicking on "Add printer" and then selecting the printer name above.
You can also print from a USB – just plug it into the printer and select the documents you want to print.
Permanent employees with SIA PCs can print while connected to SIT-PROD from the following printers:
RMC-LMV-MF-004 in A219
RMC-LMV-MF-002 off A111
You cannot print from USB from these two printers.
Guidance on the correct search and installation of printers can be found on the SIT Serviceportal (you can access it only when connected to SIT-PROD/SIT BYOD) by searching for "printer".
The printers are set with confidential printing by default. Be sure to create a code before printing under "Printer Properties" in your document. When you need to collect your printout, select "Tasks" on the printer's display, then "Confidential tasks" and the printout that is next to your B-number.
Everyone else can print from a USB stick from the printer in the foyer by the lounge.
- Check that you are on the EDU-STUDENT network before you print
- Check that you have selected the correct printer number and location
- Check that you have selected the correct printer number and setup (printer name ends in SITAD.DK)
- Check that you have set up a password in the printer properties
- Select Tasks, Confidential tasks and the line with your B-number when you are at the printer. Enter your chosen password.
Office 365
Everyone with an rmc-email has access to the entire Office 365 suite.
You can access Office 365 (incl. mail, Word, Excel, etc.) at portal.office.com.
If you are a permanent employee, you can also install the entire Office suite on your computer (both Mac and PC). You can see how to do it here.
- Check that the email and password are correct
- Reset the password (if you are a student or part-time teacher – permanent employees must call SIT to reset)
- If that doesn't help, call SIT.
Contact Ieva at mike@rmc.dk to be assigned the correct license type.
Only permanent employees can install the Office suite locally.
If you have an SIA PC, the Office suite is already installed on your computer. If not:
- Uninstall any existing versions of the Office suite or programs that are on your computer.
- Restart your PC and go to portal.office.com.
- Log in and see if the button has appeared.
If the Install button still does not appear, contact Ieva at mike@rmc.dk to check that you have been assigned the right license.
- Check that your OS is updated to the latest version
- Uninstall any existing versions of the Office suite or programs.
- Log in with your rmc-email and code during the installation
If you still have problems, consult this guide.
Asimut
You can access Asimut here.
Log-in is your rmc-email (without @rmc.dk) and password.
Contact student secretary Ditte at dm@rmc.dk and ask to check that the email username and the Asimut username match.
Are the usernames matching to no avail, try also the following steps:
- Open a new email in Outlook and add the affected email address in the To field
- Right-click on the email and select the Email addresses tab. Right-click the email address, click Open Outlook Properties, and select the Email Addresses tab.
- Check that the email address in the first and second lines is the same (SIP and SMTP). If they are different, that explains the problem.
- Contact SIT regarding to have the incorrect email address corrected.
If you are a part-time teacher/permanent employee and trying to send an email from Asimut, you can experience that it sends from your private email address and not your rmc email.
This depends on the email program you use if you have several email addresses linked to it. Check the settings of your email program to see if your private email address is set to be the one from which all emails should be sent.
