Afgang 2026: The best of the next

The international music press calls RMC "an open lab for the vanguard of music" (Tsugi) and ”an engine room for some of Europe’s most exciting music” (The Guardian). In June everyone can hear for themselves.

RMC Afgangsfestival is the yearly graduation festival at Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) and the biggest festival with upcoming music and sound art in Copenhagen. Two weeks of summer evenings at Holmen in the middle of the Danish Capital with exclusive and completely free music experiences from the top of the growth layer.

More than 50 final concerts and presentations by musicians, songwriters, producers and composers from the educational programmes at RMC are in the line up - with music in all genres, varieties and crossovers between pop, jazz, rock, urban, folk, metal, electronica, avant garde and sound installation.

That means RMC Afgangsfestival 2026 is a unique and very diverse opportunity to experience the best of the next - like a very local and free version of Scandinavian showcase festivals as Spot and By:larm. So did a total of more than 6,000 concert goers at last years edition, and as always, the artistic level is towering among 2026's hatched talent when the concert series returns in the three venues at RMC from 15 to 24 June.

Everyone is welcome at RMC during the graduation festival: The seven festival days are without entrance fee or pre-registration so you can just show up, visit the bars and explore the sound of tomorrow.
