This privacy policy describes how the Rhythmic Music Conservatory ("RMC" or "we") collects and uses the personal information you leave behind and/or provide when you call us, write to us at rmc@rmc.dk, or visit our website and use the various services and features we offer on the website. When RMC collects and processes information, it does so in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act.

1. Collection of personal data
We will always inform you before we collect your personal data.
Please note that certain personal data is necessary to collect in order for you to use the website's features or for us to respond to your inquiry. The relevant forms will indicate whether the provision of personal data is mandatory or optional. If the provision of personal data is mandatory, the relevant field will be marked with an asterisk (*). If you choose not to provide the relevant personal data, you may not be able to use the desired function. For example, we need your contact details to be able to respond to an inquiry from you.
If you provide personal data about others, we encourage you to first obtain their consent to provide the information.
2. Use of personal data, purpose and basis for processing
We collect and use personal data in connection with the functions and purposes described below. We may also process your personal data for other purposes if we are entitled or obliged to do so by law (e.g. in relation to national security).
We collect personal data in connection with:
- registration for courses, seminars and other events
- direct inquiries by telephone or email
- visits to our website, including via cookies
- when you visit our social media
2.1 When you contact us, register for courses, seminars and other events
We collect information such as your name, address, email address and telephone number via registration forms for courses, seminars and other events, as well as the information you send us yourself when contacting us directly by telephone or email.
The purpose of our processing
We process this information for the purpose of registering you and conducting courses, seminars and other events, as well as to respond to your inquiry by telephone or email.
Legal basis
We may process your personal data as part of our public authority activities when we handle your inquiry and communicate with you (art. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (e)).
When you register for our courses, seminars and other events, we process your personal data on the basis of our agreement with you regarding participation (art. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (b)).
Categories of recipients
We do not disclose your information collected via www.rmc.dk, by telephone or email to third parties unless this is necessary to respond to your inquiry or to exercise an official function (art. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (e)) as part of our exercise of official authority and our legal obligations (art. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (c)).
However, we may share your personal data with data processors who provide IT systems to support the handling of your inquiry and communication, including, for example, email providers and data processors who provide IT systems for the handling and administration of seminars, courses, etc.
Our data processors process your personal data on behalf of the Rhythmic Music Conservatory and exclusively in accordance with documented instructions issued by the Conservatory. Data processors only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific, limited tasks.
Storage period
As a public authority, we are obliged to store case information so that we can subsequently document the course of the cases. This follows from the general rules of administrative law, archiving legislation, etc.
We delete or journalize your information in accordance with the Archives Act when its purpose has been fulfilled.
2.2 Cookies
We use cookies on our website to examine how the website is used. In this connection, we process your personal data.
We may collect online identifiers such as IP address, user ID and cookie ID, information about your device such as MAC address, operating system, browser and browser history, as well as information about your use of the website, including your click behaviour, date and time of your interactions and location. The purpose of our processing
We process this personal data in purpose of making the website and its features available to you, communicating and providing information about our services, optimising our website in accordance with your choices on the website, and statistics and analysis with a view to improving the user experience.
The basis for processing
The processing of personal data that we collect through cookies for communication and information purposes, website optimisation, and statistics and analysis is based on your consent (art. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (a)). You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us as described below or via our cookie banner, which you will find via the icon at the bottom left of the website.

We base the processing of your personal data in connection with the use of necessary cookies on our legitimate interest in ensuring that the website functions as it should, including that the website is secure (art. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (e)).
Categories of recipients
We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients.
Data processors who provide cookies to support the operation and functioning of our website, including cookie banners, as well as data processors who provide cookies and IT systems for informational and/or statistical purposes, including for analysis and optimisation of the website.
We may also disclose your personal data to third parties if you have accepted third-party cookies (art. GDPR Art. 6 (1) (a)). You can see which third parties in our cookie banner.
Storage period
Cookies are deleted from your browser in accordance with what is stated in our cookie banner. Personal data collected via cookies is deleted no later than 2 years after the time of collection.
However, the information may be stored for longer in anonymised form.
2.3 Special requests
If you contact us to have relevant advertisements posted on RMC's notice board, we will print out the attached advertisement upon request and post it on our notice board for up to 30 days. We do not process your data after the advertisement has been posted and do not facilitate further contact between advertisers and teachers or students.
Recruitment at RMC is based on advertised positions via the State's eRecruitment system. We do not consider applications and CVs received by email and do not store them after responding.

RMC's privacy policy for social media applies to RMC's processing of personal data collected via RMC's profiles or pages on social media. RMC has profiles or pages on the following social media:

Joint data responsibility
RMC and each individual social media provider are joint data controllers for the processing of personal data collected in connection with your visit to RMC's profile or page on the individual social media platform. RMC complies with the Danish Data Protection Agency's guidelines on joint data responsibility and makes every effort to ensure that you receive adequate information about the processing of your personal data when you visit RMC's profiles or pages on social media.
Processing of personal data
When you visit or interact with our social media profiles, RMC and the provider of the social media platform in question may collect, process and store the following types of personal data about you:
- Information available on your profile, including your name, age, telephone number, gender, marital status, workplace, interests, job experience, friends, photos and your city.
- Whether you have "liked" or used other reactions on our profile or page.
- Comments you leave on our posts.
- That you have visited our profile.
The purpose of our processing
RMC processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Improvement of our products and services, including our profiles and pages on social media.
- Statistics and analysis.
- To be able to communicate with you if you comment on a post or send us a message.
- Marketing in general.
Social media providers process your personal data for the following purposes in particular:
- Improving their advertising system.
- To provide RMC with statistics, which social media providers compile based on your visits to our profiles and pages, among other things.
- Advertising and customising the activities on the page.
Legal basis for processing
RMC bases the processing of your personal data on our legitimate interests in being able to communicate with and market ourselves to you on our social media profiles, legitimate interest in improving our products and services (Article 6 (1) (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Social media providers base the processing of your personal data on their legitimate interests, including their interest in improving their advertising system and providing statistics to RMC, which the social media provider compiles, for example, based on your visit to RMC's profile or page on the social media. In addition, social media providers have a legitimate interest in providing an innovative, individually tailored, secure and profitable service (Article 6 (1) (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
Categories of recipients
Social media providers may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients, among others:
- Other entities within the group to which the social media provider belongs.
- External partners who provide analysis and research services.
- Advertisers.
- Other individuals who visit our profile or page on the social media platform (to the extent that your information is publicly available).

Social media providers may transfer your personal data to recipients outside the EU/EEA in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. You can read more in the privacy policies of the individual providers.
RMC does not share your personal data with third parties without your prior consent. However, in certain circumstances, and in accordance with the law or to establish a legal claim, it may be necessary to disclose your personal data to, for example, the police, lawyers or courts.
3. Consent
When you use our website, we sometimes collect and process your personal info based on your consent, as mentioned in section 2 above.
Please note that you can withdraw your consent at any time. This can be done by contacting us (see contact details in section 8 below).
If you withdraw your consent, we will stop processing your personal data unless we are entitled or obliged to continue processing or storing your personal data on other grounds, including in accordance with the law.
Withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that took place before the withdrawal of consent.
If you withdraw your consent to cookies, you may not be able to fully use the features we offer on our website.
4. Transfers to third countries
If personal data is transferred to data controllers or data processors located in a third country (country outside the EU/EEA) that does not have an adequate level of personal data protection, such transfers will always be based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses and any supplementary measures.

You have the right to access the personal data we process about you, with certain exceptions provided by law. If you wish to exercise this right, you can contact us directly or fill in and send us the access request form:
You may object to the collection and further processing of your personal data. In addition, you have the right to have your personal data corrected or to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data.
If you request it, we will delete the personal data we have registered about you without undue delay, unless we can continue processing on another basis, e.g. if the processing is necessary to establish a legal claim or if it is necessary to respond to an inquiry from you.

When contacting us regarding your rights, please provide us with sufficient information to enable us to process your request, including your full name, email address and IP address, so that we can identify you and respond to your request. We will respond to your request as soon as possible and within one month at the latest.

Our website may contain links to other websites.
