Video: Interdisciplinarity between the Danish art schools

Students at the seven national art schools meet and collaborate across the artistic disciplines.

The disciplinary boundaries between music, performing arts, film and visual arts are blurring, and art is increasingly being developed across the domains of the traditional art forms. To accommodate this, the artistic educational institutions under the Danish Ministry of Culture is collaborating to strengthen the students' access to interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

The students at the seven art schools meet and work together through shared course catalogues and projects which goes across the artistic disciplines and the traditional disciplinary boundaries.

In this video (subtitled in English) you will experience how the interdisciplinary collaboration can materialize - and meet students and teachers from various of the art schools telling about working interdisciplinary as an artist.   

The seven artistic educational institutions under the Danish Ministry of Culture are National Film School of Denmark, The Danish National School of Performing Arts, Schools of Visual Arts at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Danish National Academy of Music Odense/Esbjerg, The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus/Aalborg, The Royal Danish Academy of Music and Rhythmic Music Conservatory.
