Masters application 2017

The Masters programmes at Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) in Copenhagen are now open for application - deadline is 1 March 2017.

A Masters from RMC is a two year degree that builds on your Bachelor degree with further specialized studies in a field of your choosing, whether it is as a performing artist, a composer or an educator.
RMC in Copenhagen offers five Masters with an international scope:

Music Creation
Music Education
Music Performance
European Jazz Master (specialisation option within Music Performance)
Nordic Master: The Composing Musician (specialisation option within Music Performance)

The application must be made on the coordinated application site of the Danish academies of music www.musikuddannelser.dk.
The application deadline is 1 March 2017 at 12:00 noon CET.
 
IMPORTANT! It is the applicant’s own responsibility that the application reaches RMC before the deadline on 1 March 2017 at 12.
Please not that PostNord (previously Post Denmark), due to a new law regarding mail delivery, have changed the distribution guarantee for letters. This means that it can take up to five working days for your application to reach RMC, if you post it with the normal rate of postage.
If you wish day to day delivery in Denmark, you must send the letter as a quick letter. The cost is higher, it requires a specific stamping mark and can only be posted from a post office.
You are also very welcome to deliver the application at RMC yourself - and you don't have to wait untill 1 March.
 
THE SCHOOL
RMC is a Danish institution for higher education in music. RMC was founded in 1986 as the first music academy in Europe to specialize in contemporary music in the field of rock, pop, urban, electronica, jazz and so forth. RMC is an educational institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture and works on a non-commercial basis.
Our alumni are widely acclaimed artists and business professionals in the music industry. With only 200 student places in total we admit only the very talented. Once accepted students will have full access to state-of-the-art facilities and a faculty of teachers who are all experienced and active professionals in their field.
CURRICULUM CONCEPTS
We aim to educate music professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet the increasing demands of the contemporary music industry. Our curriculum provides the students with ample opportunity to hone their skills in composing, performing, producing and communicating music within their individual field of interest.
The school offers a modern take on education allowing you to shape your studies according to your wishes and incorporating studies at other educational institutions in Denmark or abroad, internships or the like. More than that, the school offers a lively study environment and state of the art study facilities.
NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
RMC has a close-knit cooperation with national and international music industry partners, venues, festivals, music academies and art schools.
