Since the early 1990's guitarist and composer Hilmar Jensson has been a creating force in music with base in Iceland and New York. He performed with Tim Berne, Wadada Leo Smith, Arve Henriksen, Ståle Storløkke among many others before he in 1999 joined Jim Black in the groundbreaking band AlasNoAxis.

In 2001 Jensson founded the New York band Tyft  which has released 3 albums and toured in 35 countries.

Hilmar Jensson, along with Kristín Björk Kristjánsdóttir and Jóhann Jóhannsson founded the band 'Kitchen Motors', an Icelandic artist organization that also acts as a record label.

During the artist talk, Hilmar Jensson will talk about the expanding and experimental Icelandic music scene, as well as his entrepreneurial approach to the music industry and his career.

The talk will be moderated by Kasper Tranberg.
