This evening I will be presenting a handful of song from my upcoming debut album. Shiny intuitive alternative rock, all songs arranged and recorded within one day. I will showcase the music as recorded material in Koncertkirken. Looking forward to this one ❤️

Susana Nunes

Susana Nunes is a Portuguese singer and mixed media artist, now based in Copenhagen. Telling us how it is to leave the southern lands and miss the sunshine on her skin, whilst thinking back on what was left behind, she uses wounds and fear as ignition for creation, questioning the way we react to cycles.

In a quest for sounds with embracing qualities and experimenting with shapeshifting textures, Susana presents ‘Endomatriz’.

Endo stands for inside, within. It’s beautiful, the dual power and relation some words have. There’s no inside without an outside, and there’s neither without walls. Like skin? Or proper concrete. And matriz comes as the origin, or sort of a map.”

She writes in her mother tongue, seeking the umbilical connection with her roots, for it feeds the relation with her intimate narrative. At 28, facing recurring wandering stars, she feels it’s time for allowing light into sorrow.

Lineup:
Malte Nordtorp - Sang, Trompet, Klaver
Mads Dons  - Guitar
Anton Boisen – Bas
Mikkel Aksglæde – Trommer
Ditlev Behrens  - Percussion
