Natalie Sandtorv has long established herself as a unique, stand out and strong voice within the European jazz scene, and now also within alternative pop.
Her lyrics and vocals stand strong over a rich blanket of synth, saxophone and primal grooves. The music is a sonic adventure that mixes indierock, modern jazz, and experimental pop.
This compelling combination creates a remarkable expression that stands out and sticks to your mind, long after you’ve heard it. Sandtorv’s hand-picked band and their collaboration for this project, is visually massive and fully engages your senses.
During her studies at RMC she has focused on writing music for her own group, and building a strong sound, and powerful performances. This has resulted in an album release, GAFFA-nominations, and massive touring around Europe, performing at some of the top festivals and venues around.
Review and interview of Sandtorv`s newest single, 'Fears', released May 5th 2018:
“Wondering jazz, meets mind-scorching psych-rock and soaring vocals – all accompanied by dudes in capes and masks. Rest assured, you’ll get far too lost in the experience yourself for this to be considered as self-indulgent as that sounds.”
